(BROWNSTOWN) - Brownstown officers investigated 144 complaints and made 10 arrests, including four juveniles, in December, according to Town Marshal Tom Hanner's report.

Hanner reports that officers also made 44 security checks and issued two traffic citations along with 10 warnings during the month.

For all of last year, officers investigated 2,263 cases and arrested 64 adults and 54 juveniles.

Hanner will be hiring a part-time officer at a probationary officer's pay to help eliminate overtime and relieve scheduling issues created by sickness and vacation leaves.
