(SALEM) - The 15th annual Bill Cope Chili Supper will be Saturday, Jan. 28, prior to the Eastern boys' basketball games with Salem. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will continue until 7:30 p.m.

A meal of chili, drink, hotdog or sandwich and dessert is $5. A la carte items are also available for purchase.

Bill Cope was a teacher at East Washington who dedicated a large portion of his life to students. He died in July 1997, following a battle with cancer.

This event is a fund-raising effort to continue his spirit of generosity by providing a scholarship in his name to an Eastern High School graduate

The chili supper is hosted by the East Washington Dollars for Scholars.
