The Super Oldies Jingle Bell Rock Has Been Found

(BEDFORD) - The Super Oldies Jingle Bell Rock has been found.

Super Oldies hid the official Super Oldies Jingle Bell Rock within the listening area and Super Oldies 105.5 aired clues on its location starting Nov. 29th.

Dianna Voorhies, her son, Donny Voorhies and Amy Lynn and her daughter Josie, Kaleigh Lee and Ahley Langley found the rock Thursday around 5 :30 p.m. It is a limestone rock with 105.5 engraved into both sides.

"I didn't realize what it was at first," said Dianna Voorhies. "We were silent for a second and then we all started screaming."

Donny Voorhies, Dianna's son, found the rock hidden behind a large wooden cross at Camp Rivervale on Rivervale Road in Lawrenceport.

"It wasn't that easy to find," Donny said. "Just the top of it was sticking out of some tall grass behind the cross. At first I thought it was a stone with someone's address on it. Then we realized it was the Jingle Rock."

The group, who are employed at Hoosier Hills Credit Union, have been looking for the Jingle Bell Rock for six years.

"But we knew this was going to be our year," said Amy Lynn. "It wasn't if we found the rock, it was when we were going to find it. We knew we were in the right area because there were others in the area looking for it."

Dianna decided to backtrack and that is when they found the rock.

"We are so pumped up about this," Amy said. "We have been jumping up and down and haven't been able to sleep. This is so exciting. We left work at six, stopped and got pizza to go and ate in the car. We were on a mission. We were going to find that rock."

And they did.

The group will now swap the rock for a sleigh full of prizes totaling $1,500.
