(BLOOMFIELD) - Police are looking for Allen Eugene Dixon Jr., of Solsberry.
Dixon walked away from the Greene County Community Corrections Center in Bloomfield. He has been charged with escape, a class C felony.
Dixon left the center without permission. The center is located just north of the Greene County Jail. He left through an emergency fire escape door on Nov. 26 around 3:45 p.m.
A warrant for Dixon's arrest was issued Wednesday by Circuit Court Judge Erik Allen.
Dixon had been at the work release center since July 27 after he violated his probation on a Monroe County Circuit Court misdemeanor conviction for conversion. Judge Kenneth Todd revoked 108 days of a previously suspended sentence and ordered Dixon to serve out the remainder of his sentence in the Greene County Work Release Center.
Dixon had an expected release date of Dec. 17.
