Martinsville Woman Faces Charges In Three Counties

Last updated on Thursday, December 29, 2011

(BLOOMFIELD) - 26-year-old Ashley Thurber, of Martinsville, faces theft and drug-related charges in three area counties.

A Greene Circuit Court warrant for the arrest of Thurber was issued Dec. 21, charging her with theft and possession of a Schedule 3 controlled substance.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Interim Worthington Town Marshal Don Richardson, Thurber allegedly transferred and filled her grandmother Julia Dayhoff's prescription for 90, 10 mg. Lortab (Hydrocondone Birartrate) to the Linton Super Walmart Pharmacy on Oct. 31.

Dayhoff, who lives north of Worthington, told police that she always uses a pharmacy in Spencer and had never filled any prescriptions at the Linton Super Walmart.

Richardson viewed a surveillance video from Walmart for the date of the alleged incident and said he observed a woman matching Thurber's description at the pharmacy counter. Family members watched the video and identified Thurber as the person at the pharmacy.

Thurber was picked up in Owen County on a Morgan County warrant for conversion (theft).
She also faces possible controlled substance possession charges in Owen County.
