(BEDFORD) - 47-year-old Wesley Richards was arrested after he kicked in the door of a home in the 1500 block of 10th Street.
The homeowner called police at 11:16 a.m. when she heard a loud noise at the front of her home. She told Bedford police a man kicked in the door and then ran.
Snow was falling at the time of the incident and police were able to follow footprints from the home to a residence in the 1800 block of 11 Street.
Police surrounded the home and knocked on the door. No one answered the door at first, but eventually a man came to the door and told police he had been at the home all night. But a woman who lives in the home and is a acquaintance with the man contradicted his story. She told police the man had just arrived and was out of breath.
Police arrested Richards and the was taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
