Five Arrested On Drug Charges In West Baden Springs

(WEST BADEN SPRINGS) - Five People were arrested on drug charges after police searched a home at 9998 U.S. 150 in West Baden Springs Thursday.

According to a news release from Indiana State Police Trooper Shane Staggs, police were informed about possible drug activity at the home. Staggs established probable cause for a search warrant and one was issued for the home.

Armed with search warrants, officers (including Orange County Sheriff's Department and Paoli Police Department personnel) went to the residence. Officers said five people were at the home and they found cocaine, methamphetamine, more than 30 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and items commonly associated with the use and distribution of drugs.

Arrested were:

* David L. Turner, 40, West Baden Springs, dealing cocaine, a Class B felony; possession of cocaine, a Class D felony; possession of marijuana over 30 grams, a Class D felony; dealing marijuana over 30 grams, a Class D felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor

* Bobbie J. Turner, 42, West Baden Springs, possession of marijuana over 30 grams, a Class D felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony; possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor

* Richard J. Ward, 33, Springville, possession of cocaine, a Class D felony; visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor

* Jimmy L. Sebastian, 53, Mitchell, visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor

* Jamie P. Lynch, 43, Mitchell, visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor.

All five were taken into custody without incident and taken to the Orange County Jail.
