Dentist And Man Cited For Disorderly Conduct

Last updated on Friday, December 2, 2011

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford Dentist, 56-year-old Diane Heckley, was cited into court for disorderly conduct after a confrontation with 45-year-old Jimmie Reid.

The confrontation began after Reid allegedly was blocking employee's vehicle at Downtown Dental (1510 I St.) with his U-Haul truck.

Bedford Police Dennis Parsley says the confrontation had started earlier in the day.

"It was an on-going problem," Parsley said. "Mr. Reid asked that the dentist move her car and she was busy with patients and then she would ask that he move the U-Haul and he was busy."

When police arrived, both parties were in the parking lot where an argument started.

"Dr. Heckley was yelling and pointed her finger at Mr. Reid," Parsley said. "The man then pushed her hand away. Officers separated the two and warned them numerous times to stop and they refused. So officers cited both parties."

Reid was also cited into court for disorderly conduct. The incident happened around 4:15 p.m. Both will appear in court Dec. 16.
