Last updated on Thursday, December 1, 2011

(MITCHELL) - Mitchell police are close to making an arrest in the case of several local business break-ins.

The following stores have been burglarized in recent weeks: The Keg Liquor Store, Terry's 66, Hair Visions, Charlie's Barber Shop and Smoker Friendly.

Video surveillance has helped police catch the culprits.

Mitchell Police Chief Jerry Presnell says the crime spree is being attributed to a group of eight or nine older teens.

Presnell says he's ready to file paperwork for formal charges.
