(BEDFORD) - A crash Tuesday morning resulted in injuries to a 45-year-old Bedford man, according to a Lawrence County Police Department accident report.

68-year-old Rick Nicholson suffered injuries to his back and wrist when his pickup truck crashed into a guardrail at U.S. 50 and Tunnelton Road. Nicholson refused to be transported by ambulance for treatment.

Nicholson told police he was driving east on U.S. 50 when a car in front of him in the turn lane to Tunnelton Road veered back onto the main traffic lane.

In attempt to miss hitting the vehicle, Nicholson went right and his pickup hit the guardrail.
The accident was reported at 11:56 a.m.
