Students Held At School While Police Search For Bank Robber

(BLOOMINGTON) - Between 30 to 40 Bloomington North High School and Tri-North Middle School students were kept at school while police searched for a bank robber on the cities east side.

Rogers and Binford elementary schools were also put on alert. Police let student leave around 3:38 p.m.

Police were not releasing any information about the robbery at Peoples State Bank, at 525 Clarizz Blvd.

The bank was closed for the day. Bloomington Police and Monroe County sheriff's deputies established police perimeters and search neighborhoods, but no arrests were made.
