(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army is looking for people to help this holiday season.

According to Capt. Donna Rose, statistics show more people will be in need of help this year than in previous years.

In Lawrence County they are seeing more families struggling to pay their bills and keep food on the table for their children.

The Salvation Army is looking for individuals or groups to help by giving time, talents or resources to less fortunate families in Lawrence County.

Volunteers are needed as bell ringers for 2 hours or more at kettle sites. Groups are needed to organize toy and food drives. Volunteers are needed in their toy shop and for project Stuff a Stocking or to host an Angel Tree for seniors. Monetary donations are also needed. For more information call The Salvation Army at 275-5429 or 583-3965.
