(OOLITIC) - 40-year-old Bobby Curtsinger, of Salem, was injured after his 2000 Ford Ranger was rear-ended on Ind. 37 south near Patton Hill Road on Monday afternoon.

Lawrence County Police say 30-year-old Charles Bechard, of Mitchell, was traveling south on Ind. 37 near Patton Hill Road when he placed his drink in his holder and looked up and noticed that Curtsinger's vehicle stopped.

Bechard could not stop his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and crashed into Curtsinger's Ranger.

Curtsinger complained of neck and shoulder pain and was taken to IU Health Bedford for treatment. Bechard was not injured during the incident. There was minor damage to each vehicle.
