(ORLEANS) - Orleans Water Customers should be aware that the Town of Orleans will begin flushing hydrants starting on Monday, Nov. 28 and continue throughout that entire week town-wide.
This may cause a temporary discoloration of the water for a brief period of time. The water is safe for drinking but may discolor clothes washed in it.
Residents should simply flush their system by running fixtures, including the washing machine, until the water clears.
