(MITCHELL) - 26-year-old Joseph Agan, of Mitchell, was arrested Saturday night after he caused a fight at Jack's bar in Mitchell.

Police were called to the bar around 9:30 p.m. Police from Mitchell, Lawrence County and Orleans responded to the incident.

According to police, Agan went to the bar and began causing problems. He allegedly hit two different women and told some men to "go outside" to fight. That is when the fight went out of the bar onto Main Street.

It took several officers to arrest Agan because he was being combative. As a county officer was transporting Agan to the jail he had to pull over and call for assistance because Agan was being combative.

Agan was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then taken to the jail on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and battery causing injury.

According to witnesses at the bar, Agan was there a few days prior causing problems.
