(BLOOMFIELD) - Thanks to some heads-up observation by a bus driver, a rural Solsberry man has been directed to appear in Greene Superior Court on charges that he passed an Eastern Greene School District bus with its stop arm extended last month.
Paul D. Terrell has been issued a summons to be in court at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12 on charges of reckless driving and passing a school bus with its arm extended.
Terrell is alleged to have disregarded the stop arm for Bus No. 4, driven by Jim Dwyer, that was traveling on State Road 43 and County Road 420N in Solsberry at about 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 26.
The bus driver is also a Greene County Sheriff's Department reserve officer. Dwyer was able to get the license plate number of Terrell's pickup truck and turn it into police. The incident was also recorded on the bus's videotape. No student was injured in the incident.
