(BLOOMINGTON) - Every parent’s worst nightmare is an every day reality for Lauren Spierer’s mother and father.
She has been missing five months. The 20-year-old IU student had been drinking with friends at a Bloomington bar and was last seen walking back to her apartment.
IU Professor Leah Shopkow says bars around campus are easy access for underage students. Shopkow say students don't talk about getting access to the bars, but it's a problem because the streets around campus are lined with bars.
Campus officials are now taking action to tackle the situation, according to Shopkow.
