(JASPER) - Senior Indiana State Trooper Aaric Correll has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and will now serve as a squad leader for the Jasper post.
Correll mostly patrolled Martin and Daviess County throughout his career. In March, Correll was recognized at an awards ceremony in Indianapolis as being the "Trooper of the Year" for the Jasper District for 2010.
As a squad sergeant, Correll's primary responsibility is being the direct supervisor for the troopers that work Martin and Daviess counties.
