Indiana Conservation officers say the teen was wounded while hunting with family members Sunday afternoon near in the Dubois County town.

Police say the gun was apparently being lowered from a tree stand when it discharged, wounding the teen in the abdomen.

He was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital where he died.
