Daviess County Inmate Dies Of Natural Causes

(WASHINGTON) - The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 55-year-old Dean Stevens, of Bicknell, died from natural causes.

Stevens was being held as an inmate at the Daviess County Jail.

Indiana State Police say Stevens was not feeling well Wednesday morning and was taken to Daviess County Hospital and then to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville where he died Wednesday morning.

According to detectives, Stevens was arrested March 11 for conspiracy to commit dealing methamphetamine, conspiracy to commit theft, attempted theft, attempted illegal transportation of anhydrous and possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. He was awaiting trial during his time at the jail.
