Last updated on Wednesday, November 23, 2011

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Council approved a ten year tax abatement for PRD Inc., Tuesday night.

The company is spending $1.9 million on new equipment and plans to hire six new employees. Currently the company employees 94 people. The equipment will allow the company to be more competitive at an international level.

The council also approved to get rid of the $500 filing fee for tax abatements so it will be easier for businesses to apply for tax abatements.
