(HELMSBURG) - Firefighters from five departments battled a house fire on Railroad Road Tuesday night, in Helmsburg, in Brown County.

Multiple 911 calls came into Brown County Dispatch just before 10 p.m.

Callers reported that flames were shooting from the back of the vacant house and through the roof.

Fruitdale Fire Department took command at the scene, which at one point contained about 50 firefighters from neighboring fire departments.
