(NEW PEKIN) - Three people were hurt in a mobile home explosion in New Pekin.
Police said the blast started in the kitchen of the home around 4 p.m. Sunday.
Officials said two men and one woman were airlifted from the scene outside the Washington County community of New Pekin and taken to University Hospital in Louisville, Ky., but their conditions were not released.
Fire crews said the home was badly damaged and its contents were blackened by the explosion and fire.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department said the cause of the explosion was under investigation.
