(UNDATED) - Local units of the Indiana National Guard have been notified of a possible deployment next year.
Soldiers of the 151st could be sent to Afghanistan in the spring of 2012.
The 151st includes soldiers from the Vincennes, Washington, Linton, Jasper and Martinsville Armories.
It also includes troops from an armory in Indianapolis.
Training for the possible deployment has already begun.
