Mooresville Man Trying To Get Children Back From Egypt

Last updated on Monday, October 24, 2011

(MOORESVILLE) - Andy Gray, of Mooresville, is desperate to re-unite with the kids he hasn’t seen in eight months.

He now has an ally. Sen. Richard Lugars' office put Andy Gray in-touch with the State Department and U.S. Embassy.

Andy Gray's two kids are with their mother in Cairo, Egypt.

Gray says his wife took their kids there this spring to visit her biological father and never returned. He says a month later all phone contact ended. Keagen Gray, 3, and Layla Gray, 1, are now the focus of Facebook page 'Bring Keagen and Layla Home'.

Since the story broke, Gray, received an email from his estranged wife who saw the report on television in Cairo. In the email she says, "I am just so flabbergasted at what you have done!! Going on T.V telling the world... I am stuck in this hell hole for the rest of my life because you reported me, and I will be arrested when I get home?!"

Gray believes his wife was brainwashed by her family in Egypt.
