(UNDATED) - A California man set to go on trial this week in Brown County on child molesting charges is dead.
70-year-old Richard Wayne Hyde, died inside his home in Bodfish, California, around 4:05 p.m. on Sunday. Kern County Deputy Coroner Jeff Cameron, says Hyde suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Hyde's trial was scheduled to begin in Brown Circuit Court today.
