(BEDFORD) - During the open house at the Bedford General Motors facility on Sept. 29, the GM Foundation awarded $10,000 in grants to three local organizations.
The foundation gave $2,500 to the Bedford Community Learning Center, and another $2,500 to Becky's Place. It also awarded $5,000 to the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association.
More than 2,000 people toured the local facility during the open house, getting a view of the new automated equipment that is bringing new business to the Bedford facility.
