(BLOOMINGTON) - Dan Aykroyd, former member of Saturday Night Live and the star of many films including “Ghostbusters,” “The Blues Brothers” and “My Girl,” will sign bottles of his Crystal Head Vodka at Big Red Liquors at 418 N. College Ave. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
In addition to his successful acting career, Aykroyd has become a producer of spirits, creating Crystal Head Vodka in a distinctive custom designed bottle reflecting the actor's interest in the occult and spiritualism.
The vodka is quadruple distilled for purity, then filtered through 500 million year old Herkimer diamonds to remove any impurities.
Aykroyd will begin signing bottles at 11 a.m. and will sign as many as he can until the line is cut off at 2 p.m. Big Red is encouraging people to arrive early to assure their access to Aykroyd.
The actor will sign bottles, as well as pose for pictures. A photographer will be on hand, and photos will be made available to people who provide contact information.
