Last updated on Friday, October 28, 2011

(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man was sentenced Wednesday to 93 years in prison for two brutal attacks on a woman that included breaking into her home, holding her captive and threatening her life.

The sentence for Matthew Bryant, 29, is one of the lengthiest in recent Bartholomew County history.

A jury convicted Bryant after a trial earlier this month of burglary resulting in injury, a Class A felony; two counts of criminal confinement, both Class B felonies; and battery resulting in serious bodily injury and two counts of intimidation, all Class C felonies.
