Bloomington Man Threatened With Knife And Robbed

(BLOOMINGTON) - Three people were arrested on Monday after they held a knife to a 20-year-old Bloomington man and took his belongings.

he robbery happened at the intersection of Vernal Pike and Innovation Court, in Bloomington around 12:28 a.m. Monday.

Sheriff James Kennedy says three people were arrested: 19-year-old Taylor Weiss, of Greencastle, 18-year-old Tanner Smith, of Spencer and 22-year-old Zackary Gray, of Ellettsville.

Weiss was charged with assisting a criminal. Smith is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robber and possession of stolen property. Gray is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The victim says he was in his pickup with the three and had stopped to smoke a cigarette with them and that is when they pulled a knife, threatened him and took his things. The man was not injured and fled the area.

Deputies got a search warrant for a home at 438 Birch Lane and items stolen were found.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
