Bloomfield Man Arrested After Fight With Girlfriend

(BLOOMFIELD) - 22-year-old Thomas L. Tirey, was arrested on a warrant Thursday. He is facing charges of criminal confinement, a Class D felony, and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

His initial hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 8 a.m. in Greene County Circuit Court. Tirey posted a $4,500 bond and was released from jail Friday.

According to a probably cause affidavit filed by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy James O'Malley, Tirey was arrested after his now ex-girlfriend was found by a motorist running down State Road 45 on Sept. 16th in her pajamas, screaming. Chase Oswald, who found Ashley Trammel called police.

Trammel told police she ended her relationship with Tirey and he became angry and refused to let her collect her belongings and leave. She was staying with Tirey at his parent's home on Ind. 45 in Greene County.

Tirey allegedly took Trammel's cell phone and told her "she was not going nowhere." The fight went outside and when Trammel tried to leave, there was a shoving match and Trammel smacked Tirey across the face.

Tirey pushed Trammel and tried to knock her to the ground, The fight then continued inside the house.

Trammel told police she tried to stay calm and the argument stopped. Trammel then went to bed, when she woke she tried to pack her belongings and the fighting continued.

Trammel crawled out a bedroom window and ran for help.

Tiery told police a different story. He said he offered to help Trammel pack and said Trammel became violent and then crawled through the window.
