(ORLEANS) - The 5th Annual Orleans Fall Fun Fest in the Park is Saturday at Historic Congress Square in Orleans.
The event is sponsored by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce. A host of fun fall family-type activities and special events are planned for downtown Orleans including the following:

* 7:30 to 10 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast @ Orleans Christian Church Unity Hall (Cost $6 adults $3 for children ages 6-12). Menu includes: pancakes, sausage, biscuit & gravy, scrambled eggs & drink. Advance tickets on Sale $3.50 Adults & $2.50 Children available at Fifth Third, Mid-Southern Banks & Orleans Town Hall.
* 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Chamber Visitor Center (north side of square) Orange Co. Tourism, Visitor Info, DVD Presentation, Historical Walking/Driving Tour, Orleans souvenirs & more.
* 9 a.m. to ? - Antique Tractor Display (East side of square)
* 9 a.m. to 12 Noon - OC HomeGrown Orleans Farmers Market (West side of Square)
* Scarecrow Stuffing Booth, Cooking Demo using Dutch Ovens,cornmeal grinding, Lasso (rope throwing) demo, arts & crafts, musical entertainment & more.
* 10 a.m. - "Send in the Clowns" / children activities (Bandstand).
* 10 a.m. to ? - Tri Kappa Harvest Corner (Town Park) Kettle Corn, Carmel Apples, Carmel Corn, Children activities, Cake cup Decorating, Decorate your own Pumpkin, Play in the Hay stack. Face Painting & more.
* 10:00 a.m. - Pet Costume Contest/Parade sponsored by Kirk Veterinary Service (Meet at the Fountain area) Pets must be registered by 9:30 a.m. Entry fee $5 Categories include: Most Original, Cutest & Scariest Photographer available 9 a.m. to Noon
* 11:00 a.m. to ? - Corn Hole Tourney sponsored by Orleans Fire Municipal Department (Ball Court) Please register by 10:30 a.m.
* 11:00 a.m. - Concert in the Park with the Bloomington Community Band (Bandstand area)
* 11:00 a.m. to ? - Food served (north side of square) Orange Co Cattlemen's Assoc Steak Sandwiches, drinks & more Chamber's Creek Bank Potatoes Served also (while they last)
* Orleans Fire Pork Roast Sandwiches (west side of square) 1926 original Peter Pirsch Fire Truck on display
* Mum & Pumpkin Sale by Pat's Plants @ Bandstand
* Phi Beta's Sweet Shop (Town Park)
Orleans Fire To Sponsor Corn Hole
Members of the Orleans Fire Department will be sponsoring a Corn Hole Tourney, in conjunction with the upcoming Orleans Fall Fun Fest in the Park on Saturday, October 8. The tourney will be held on the west side of the historic Congress Square (town park) beginning at 11 a.m. Sign-ups will get underway at 10:30 a.m.
Costs will be $10 per team with cash prizes awarded to the winners. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the restoration of the original 1926 Peter Pirsch Fire Truck.
In addition to the Corn Hole, the firemen will also serve up pork roast sandwiches in the park beginning at 11 a.m. that day.
OC Cattlemen Cooking Up Steak Sandwiches
The Orange County Cattlemen Association will once again be offering their steak sandwiches to hungry visitors attending this year's Orleans Fall Fun Fest on October 8. Food items will be served on the north side of the town park square beginning at 11 a.m.
In addition, Orleans Chamber will offer up Creek Bank Potatoes while supplies last.
