Last updated on Wednesday, September 28, 2011

(BEDFORD) - A jury of 4 men and 8 women will begin to hear testimony in Lawrence County Superior Court II this morning.

A jury of 4 men and 8 women will begin to hear testimony in Lawrence County Superior Court II this morning.

Jason M. Fields is accused of two counts of dealing methamphetamines, both class B felonies. He is being represented by John Plummer Jr. who says police used entrapment to arrest his client.

"My client is the little fish, the police let the big fish go," Plummer told potential jury members. "The police elected to get the little fish and got my client by entrapment."

According to a probable cause affidavit on April 4 and March 6, Bedford Police officers used a confidential informant to make a drug purchase from Fields.

Police say they gave the informant marked money and equipped the person with a recording device. They also followed the informant and watched parts of the drug transactions.
