(MARTINSVILLE) - The Morgan County sheriff’s department merit board has voted to fire 3-year deputy Jason Baugh.
Sheriff Robert Downey says Baugh was arrested at Verizon Wireless Music Center June 24th for public intoxication. He also was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with his wife.
Sheriff Downey says the merit board heard 10 hours of testimony and deliberated for 2 hours before agreeing with his recommendation.
Baugh has 30 days to appeal.
