(OOLITIC) - Jeffery Johnson, 23, of Orleans, was arrested early Saturday morning after he fled from Lawrence County Police during a traffic stop.
Johnson is charged with resisting arrest with a motor vehicle and fleeing, operating a vehicle while never licensed and operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing endangerment.
Police attempted to stop Johnson because he was driving recklessly at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Third Street in Oolitic.
Johnson fled from police and crashed his car on Third Street. Johnson was thrown from the vehicle but was not injured, according to police reports. He was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
