(ORLEANS) - An Orleans man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for making and using counterfeit money.
The indictment alleges that between August 1 and August 16, Coleman Maple,26,made counterfeit $50 and $10 Federal Reserve Notes by copying genuine United States Currency.
The indictment also alleges that Maple purchased goods using one or more of the counterfeit $50 bills.
If convicted, maples faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. An initial hearing will be scheduled in New Albany, Indiana.
