(OWENSBURG) - There is good news for those who commute to the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane from Lawrence County.
Ind. 58 from Ind. 54 to near Owensburg has been closed for a bridge replacement since Aug. 16, according to Cher Elliott, spokeswoman for the Indiana Department of Transportation. But the road is expected to re-open by the end of the day Friday.
Elliott said the project is on schedule and should be wrapped up by the end of September.
In the meantime, she said, workers will continue minor cleanup and putting on the finishing touches on that stretch of highway.
She added the road is not expected to close again between now and the end of the project.
