Busy Weekend For Bedford Police

(BEDFORD) - Bedford police officers arrested several people over the weekend.

Three people were on drug and alcohol charges, after a woman dialed 911 crying hysterically.

Police went to a home on the 2100 block of I Street early Saturday morning to find three men in a fighting.

Danny J. Garland, 39, 406 15th Street, was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Anthony W. Eads, 43, 1614 I Street, was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and possession of the drug "MadHatter" and battery on an officer with bodily fluids.

Timothy Whatfield, 34, 2031 I Street, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Two juveniles were arrested Saturday night on drug charges after their vehicle was stopped by Bedford Police officers on Great Escape Drive.

Christopher Pruett, 18, 17 Oak Hill, charged with illegal consumption of alcohol and possession of marijuana. Another 16-year-old male was charged with possession of marijuana.

James R. Deckard, 43, 1886 Coveyville Road, was arrested after he started a fight at the Eagles Club Sunday night.

Deckard was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
