11 Year Old Boy Faces Murder Charges

Last updated on Tuesday, September 6, 2011

(MARTINSVILLE) - An 11-year-old Morgan County boy charged with murder faces a hearing this morning. The boy is charged in the shooting death of his six-year-old brother.

It's a fact-finding hearing which is considered the juvenile equivalent of a trial. The boy is the youngest person to face murder charges in Indiana in almost 90 years.

He faces murder and reckless homicide charges in the shooting death of Andrew Frye on June 30th. Frye was shot in the head with a .22 caliber gun in his family's home near Martinsville.

The boy's attorney says he still needs time to investigate his client's case.
