(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell teenager was life lined to Kosair’s Children Hospital in Louisville after a car accident on SR 37.
16 year old Ashley Homminga was traveling north as what witnesses said was a high rate of speed when she approached the intersection at the entrance of Bedford Ford.
A 2010 van pulled into the north bound lanes ahead of Homminga.
Homminga's car then struck the van in the passenger side rear tire, spinning the van around.
The driver of the van was not injured. Homminga suffered a head injury.
