(SEYMOUR) - Police in Jackson County are looking for a man they say tried to abduct a young girl.

Carolyn Bowman said she was leaving her home with her five-year-old daughter. As her daughter walked down to the driveway to get into the family van, Bowman went back inside the home and that's when a man grabbed her daughter.

The man dropped the girl on the road and ran into the woods after the mother came back outside.
