Orleans Man Arrested After Stealing Truck, Fleeing From Police

(ORLEANS) - One man has been arrested following the theft of pickup truck on Monday.

Orleans Police received a call at 4:30PM reporting that a white 1986 Chevrolet pickup truck had just been stolen from North Third Street in Orleans.

An Orleans police officer located the vehicle a minute later traveling south on State Road 37 in Orleans and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and after a short vehicle chase through Orleans the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

After a brief foot chase the driver, 27 year old Joshua Troutman of Orleans, was captured and arrested by Orleans police.

Troutman has been charged with auto theft, resisting Law Enforcement by fleeing in a vehicle and resisting Law Enforcement by fleeing on foot.
