(UNDATED) - Operation Pull Over Blitz 68 campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, will continue during the holiday weekend.
Indiana State Police Lt. Paul Bucher commander of the ISP Bloomington District, said troopers have joined more than 260 other law enforcement agencies to crackdown on impaired drivers.
The Bloomington District comprises Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Monroe and Morgan counties.
Indiana has seen a decline in those who drive impaired over the past 5 years, but some continue to drive and drink, Bucher said. There were more than 400 alcohol-related accidents on Indiana roadways in 2010, according to Bucher, of those, 40 percent resulted in injury or death.
