(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic man was arrested for drunk driving after crashing his truck into a concrete bridge Saturday evening.
Dallas M. Johnson, 56, Oolitic, was booked into the Lawrence County Jail on charged of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle never licensed.
Lawrence County Sgt. Dave Flynn said Johnson drove his truck into the side of a bridge located along the roadway on East Oolitic Road at 5:50 p.m.. Flynn said Johnson had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and appeared to be impaired.
Johnson was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was taken.
