Seymour DARE Officer Arrested For Drunk Driving

(SEYMOUR, IN) - A Seymour DARE officer was arrested Thursday for driving drunk.

38-year-old John Newcomb was arrested in Washington County while hauling the department's DARE trailer.

The officer, who teaches students about the DARE (drug abuse education program) sideswiped a vehicle before running off the road.

Newcomb's blood alcohol was 0.14.
