(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - Martinsville is mourning the death of six-year-old Andrew Frye.
His 11-year-old stepbrother, charged with the boy's murder, did not attend the memorial service late Thursday morning.
He and his mother viewed the body briefly earlier at the Neal and Summers Mortuary, accompanied by a jail commander and a juvenile transportation officer.
Morgan County Commissioner Don Adams said he's not sure how he and others would have reacted to the appearance of the older boy.
The boys' grandmother is the County Commissioners' Secretary.
The body was to be cremated.
