(LAWERENCEPORT, IN) - A Lawrenceport family will be showcased on the Learning Channel this evening.
Leonard Daugherty thought he was attending a luncheon for military families last May at the Lawrence County Museum.
Instead, he was being set up for the TLC Show "Surprise Homecoming" with a surprise reunion with his son who had served a tour in Afghanistan.
U.S. Army Spc. 4 Aron Daugherty wasn't scheduled to be home until two weeks after the luncheon.
Daugherty says he was told the film crew at the luncheon was doing a documentary on military families and was quite surprised when his "door prize" was his son's appearance.
Aron was interviewed and selected by the program prior to coming home.
Aron is active duty military stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The program, "surprise homecoming" will air on TLC tonight at 10:00PM.
