Jackson County Prison Inmate Escapes

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - An Indiana prison inmate from Jackson County walked away from a work release site in Indianapolis and was apprehended five hours later.

Casey Cockerham of Seymour was working at the Indiana War Memorial through the re-entry educational facility.

Cockerham was serving a 10-year sentence for dealing cocaine.

He faces an additional charge of escape.
