Hoosiers Urged To Stay Indoors During Heat Wave

Last updated on Tuesday, July 19, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - A National Weather Service Meteorologist in Indianapolis says a heat wave expected to crest this week will likely linger for several days.

Meteorologist Dave Tucek says the weather service expects the heat wave to drag on until at least July 25th.

The weather service has issued an excessive heat watch for Tuesday through at least Saturday.

Hoosiers are urged to stay inside as much as possible, and to keep water available if they must be outdoors.
