(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington is on edge again following a reported weekend attack in broad daylight.
A woman told police she was followed, attacked, and nearly strangled by someone just six blocks from where student Lauren Spierer disappeared nearly two months ago.
Residents in the area say they're afraid for their safety again and are taking extra precautions.
That includes a buddy system for walking at night and carrying pepper spray.
The woman had only minor injuries in the attack.
